MY STORY
With a lifelong passion for drawing and figurative art, Nelson has developed a distinctive artistic style that combines technical skill, humour and expressive character. His professional career has spanned a variety of creative fields, including illustration, graphic design, children's books, concept art and games development.
Nelson's illustration work has included children's books for international publishers, while his artwork has been exhibited in South America, the United States and Australia. His diverse experience across traditional and contemporary forms of visual art has shaped a versatile approach to creativity and visual storytelling.
In addition to his professional practice, Nelson has worked as an educator, teaching design and illustration and sharing his knowledge and experience with emerging artists and designers.

My approach to caricature
A great caricature isn't just about exaggerating features — it's about capturing personality and expression. Drawing live is part performance and part portrait: I work quickly and chat with each guest, so everyone leaves with a drawing that feels like them.
